    "The Hangar" (ACNT Player Aircraft)

Post by Ronin201 on Thu Jun 02, 2016 10:18 am

From here you can select your aircraft for each character in Ace Combat: Northern Thunder. Please note the aircraft shown below only have examples of paint schemes, if they're colored. It is by no means the paint scheme they'll come in if you choose em.

    Playable Aircraft Stats
An aircraft’s stats are determined as follows…
-Acceleration: Rate of climb, for example
-Maneuverability: How agile the aircraft is; how tight can it make a turn?
-Signature: How big is the aircraft physically?
-Sensors: A combination of the performance of the offensive and defensive electronics such as radar and ECM.

All stats except for signature go on a scale of 1-4, represented by the terms “Poor”, “Fair”, “Good”, and “Excellent”. Though all aircraft in ACNT have some level of “stealth”, for balancing purposes no aircraft is truly free from being locked on to.

Thanks for Phantom (F/A-64C), Sho (FB-22A), and Cerb (F-24C, A-15A, F/A-30A, F-25A) for their contributions to the list

    FIGHTERS

    F-28A Enforcer
-Description: The next entry in the Osean linage of single-seat air superiority fighters, the F-28 is sometimes seen as a newer, fancier Raptor. While the F-28 does draw heavily on the older F-22’s concept of a stealth fighter, it is designed to operate in the newer environment of the 2040s, especially in the face of what Neucom and GR created in the years they administered Usea.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    F-24C Hellcat II
-Description: Named after the famous piston-engined fighter that had its heyday a century ago, the F-24 is a single-seat, swing-wing naval air superiority fighter. Designed to carry on the job of the older F-14 Tomcat and F-21 Thunderhawk, the Hellcat II can also attack ground targets with precision.
    -Acceleration: Excellent
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    Su-50M Flapjack (PAK-FA)
-Description: Originally developed to counter the F-22 Raptor and give Yuktobania a stealth fighter, the M model of the Su-50 (Osean designation “Flapjack”) incorporates newer developments in Yuktobanian aerospace technology. It is often seen as being the YAF’s F-22, and many experts feel it is roughly similar in its characteristics.
    -Acceleration: Excellent
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    MiG-44A Flatpack (MiG 1.44)
-Description: Originally developed as a technology demonstrator cancelled due to lack of funds, the MiG 1.44 was revived to replace the older MiG-29 series in YAF service. Though not as stealthy as the Su-50, the MiG-44 is a lethal dogfighter at close range and is also very versatile.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Good

    EF-2000F Typhoon II+
-Description: Belka, in need of a way to stay with its competition, took its EF-2000E and brought it up to date. A non-COFFIN fighter variant of the E, the F incorporates several new features common on recently introduced fighters, such as a stealthier profile.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Medium
    -Sensors: Good

    Type 13A Daitengu
-Description: Named after the mythical bird-man, the Type 13 is a high-speed interceptor built to defend against incoming attacks by enemy aircraft. The Type 13 is designed to use speed and a high missile load to defeat its enemies. Though it does have a low radar cross-section, it is not particularly stealthy.
    -Acceleration: Excellent
    -Maneuverability: Fair
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    F/A-64C Phantom III
-Description: A private venture, the F-64 is two-seat fighter designed for sale to countries with smaller air forces. The F-64 has many of the F-4’s features in an airframe with a lower radar cross-section. It’s slightly more maneuverable than the original F-4, though it still relies heavily on speed and the vertical plain of movement.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Good

    F-72A Sabertooth
-Description: A private venture by Northrop Grumman, this two-seat fighter is designed to provide long-range interception and excellent close-in engagement in one. It can also act as a strike aircraft with its high payload, but suffers from a large size.
    -Acceleration: Excellent
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    Lavi II
-Description: A revival of the old Lavi project brought up to date for the modern era, the Lavi II is pushed as a sort of modern F-16. Versatile, small, and very agile, what it lacks for in payload it makes up for in its performance.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Small
    -Sensors: Good

    CFA-44C Nosferatu
-Description: Originally designed to be built by Estovakia, this single-seat fighter aims for superior air-to-air capabilities. The design was picked up by GR just before 2040's events. Maneuverable and equipped with a powerful radar, it trades speed for turning abilities.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    F-02B Wyvern
-Description: At first an experimental Erusean design, this “switchblade wing” fighter is designed to adapt to various situations. It’s sensors aren’t the most advanced to allow mass production, but it’s very nimble and carries a fair payload.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Good

    ATTACKERS

    A-15A Sabercat
-Description: The spiritual successor to the much-loved A-10 and A-7, with a greater focus on precision weapons. The Sabercat possesses a heavy payload and an advanced ECM suit in addition to its low RCS. However, compared to the older A-10 it has a smaller gun, the GAU-13.
    -Acceleration: Poor
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Good

    A-27B Invader II
-Description: Developed from the Boeing-Lockheed AF-X project, the Puffin is designed to strike targets in any conditions with the help of its advanced sensors. Perhaps one of the stealthiest aircraft in the world, it can carry a heavy payload and has a great range. It is, however, only really good at attack.
    -Acceleration: Fair
    -Maneuverability: Poor
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    Hailstorm D
-Description: A two-seat version of the Hailstorm multirole fighter designed for attack missions. It combines some of the benefits of a fighter frame with the sensors of an attacker, allowing the Hailstorm D to have a better chance to defend itself if its escort is tied up. It’s still considerably heavier than a fighter, though.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Medium
    -Sensors: Good

    ADA-01B Adler
-Description: A revival of an older Belkan design, the Adler is designed to be an advanced strike aircraft. The aircraft is very maneuverable, especially at slow speeds, and can be equipped with certain laser weapons. However, it has a very limited internal payload.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Fair
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    Dassualt Phoenix
-Description: Envisioned as a cheap strike fighter, the Phoenix is a single-seat aircraft designed to fight its way to and from the target, if needed. It carries a heavy payload for its smaller size and has an internal designation system, eliminating the need for a targeting pod. It relies on speed, low-altitude, and an advanced ECM system as its first line of defense.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Medium
    -Sensors: Good

    Su-42M Flatfoot
-Description: Built as a follow-on to the Su-25, the Su-42 strikes a balance between old and new. It carries a high payload in both an internal bay and on outter pylons, and makes use of more modern sensors for accurate bomb delivery. It can be quite sluggish, however, and is not designed for missions that interdictors would take on.
    -Acceleration: Poor
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Medium
    -Sensors: Good

    FB-22A Strike Raptor
-Description: One of the losing designs to replace the F-15E, the Strike Raptor uses the stealth abilities of the F-22 platform to give the low-level attacker an edge. It can fight its way to and from the target, but like all aircraft of its type is vulnerable to dedicated fighters. Speed and evasion are its main defenses.
    -Acceleration: Excellent
    -Maneuverability: Fair
    -Signature: Large
    -Sensors: Excellent

    F/A-30A Tempest
-Description: Designed as a replacement to the Tornado series of jets, the Tempest uses most internal pays to retain a reduced RCS. This can cut down on payload, but makes the aircraft harder to detect. Conversely external stores can be added at the cost of stealth.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Fair
    -Signature: Large

    -Sensors: Excellent

    MULTIROLES

    ASF-X Shinden II
-Description: Developed to create a new-generation light fighter to replace the F-2, the Shiden II is one of the first widely operational fighters to incorporate forward-swept wings. Possessing characteristics that are similar to STOVL aircraft, it can be operated from short runways. Its realm is in close-range combat.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Small
    -Sensors: Good

    Hailstorm C
-Description: Developed as a follow-on to the Rafale, the Hailstorm is the newest Emmerian fighter-bomber designed to take on multiple missions at once. It balances ground attack and air combat advantages first and foremost, and is recommended for missions requiring flexibility. It is, however, less capable than dedicated fighters or attackers in either role.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Medium
    -Sensors: Good

    F/A-19B Scorpion II
-Description: Designed exclusively for the Osean Marines, this fighter-bomber is designed to support and protect ground troops. It boasts a small signature, admirable payload, and is a nimble dogfighter. It does, however, lack a substantial BVR capability to allow for its sophisticated bombing system, and is less stealthy than many modern aircraft.
    -Acceleration: Fair
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Medium

    -Sensors: Good

    F/A-38A/B Talon
-Description: The Talon is the successor to the moderately successful F-35, drawing on many lessons learned from the former. The F/A-38 combines a stealthy aircraft with versatility, allowing it to take on almost any mission. It can only carry a small payload in a “stealthy” configuration, however, and is not as maneuverable as some fighters. The B model has VTOL capabilities.
    -Acceleration: Fair
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Medium
    -Sensors: Good

    F/A-32C Erne
-Description: A losing design from the Joint Strike Fighter Project, the F/A-32C represents older but still useful technology. It can carry a very good payload and is exceptionally agile at lower speed. This means the aircraft is a bit heavy and slow for a multirole, however.
    -Acceleration: Poor
    -Maneuverability: Good
    -Signature: Medium
    -Sensors: Good

    Type 3A Oni
-Description: A light fighter designed as a compliment to the Type 13. The Type 3 is designed to be a light, low-RCS fighter capable of operating from unconventional runways. As a light fighter, it has a smaller payload compared to other multiroles and a somewhat smaller range.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Small
    -Sensors: Good

    F-16J/F-2C Viper Zero Plus
-Description: The F-16J (or F-2C) is a major upgrade package to the F-16 airframe that brings it up to date with modern fighters. These upgrades include thrust vectoring, improved radar, new cockpit, and a heavily reduced RCS. It results in a somewhat different appearance, but it retains many of the pros and cons of the F-16.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Small
    -Sensors: Good

    F-25A Taipan
-Description: A light fighter designed with the same thinking surrounding the F-16, the Taipan is designed to give its user the most in one package. Like most designs of its classification, it has a limited payload and does not have the equipment specialized aircraft do.
    -Acceleration: Good
    -Maneuverability: Excellent
    -Signature: Small
    -Sensors: Good
